Access to enterprise artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly important for businesses looking to improve how they operate. In Bahrain, Egyptian startup Velents is seeking to support that shift through a new partnership with stc Bahrain that will bring autonomous AI agents to enterprise customers.
The agreement will see Velents and stc Bahrain launch an exclusive suite of Agentic AI product bundles tailored for businesses across the country. The initiative is expected to make AI solutions more accessible to local enterprises while allowing them to use technology that operates within Bahrain’s digital infrastructure and regulatory environment.
The partnership also provides businesses with a local route to AI services. Instead of managing separate technology arrangements, enterprises will be able to access autonomous AI agents through one local provider and agreement.
From Recruitment to Enterprise AI
Velents was founded by entrepreneurs Mohamed Gaber and Abdulaziz Almuhaydib. The company is powered by a joint Egyptian-Saudi team.
It originally focused on recruitment before relaunching in 2023 with a broader mission to help organisations attract top talent through AI-driven digital solutions.
Since then, Velents has secured clients across Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Its customers include private companies, universities and government ministries.
The startup has also expanded its technology beyond recruitment. It now provides AI-powered agents for areas such as customer service, sales and quality assurance. This has supported its rapid growth across the region.
Velents raised US$1.5 million in funding in October 2025. The funding came as the company continued developing its enterprise AI offering, including what it described as its first fully Arabic AI employee.
Its expansion into Bahrain now adds another market to its growing MENA presence.
Local Infrastructure at the Centre of Expansion
The agreement with stc Bahrain is intended to make AI adoption easier for enterprises while responding to local business and regulatory needs.
“Every telecom in the region is talking about becoming a techco. stc Bahrain just did it,” Gaber said.
He said the partnership will allow enterprises in Bahrain to access autonomous AI agents from a local provider while operating under local rules.
Velents also sees language and infrastructure as important factors in the adoption of AI across the region.
“We built Velents on a simple principle: AI should run wherever regulation requires, in the language the customer actually speaks,” Gaber said.
He added that stc Bahrain shares this approach and that the partnership will give Bahraini enterprises access to AI within the Kingdom’s own digital infrastructure rather than relying on technology rented from abroad.
The launch strengthens Velents’ regional expansion strategy while giving businesses in Bahrain another option for integrating AI into everyday operations.
