As companies in Egypt adjust to a more competitive and fast-changing market, the role of marketing is becoming more closely tied to overall business performance. The ninth edition of The Marketers League, scheduled for May 9 at the Grand Egyptian Museum, is expected to reflect this transition by bringing marketing leaders into direct conversation with CEOs and board-level decision-makers. The event positions itself as a platform where business strategy and marketing direction are no longer treated separately.
Major preparations are underway for what is expected to be one of the largest gatherings of marketers in Egypt. This year’s edition will be held under the theme “The Board Edition,” marking a significant shift by including board chairpersons from various sectors for the first time. This approach reflects how marketing is evolving from a functional role into a core part of leadership and decision-making within organizations.
Announced by Engineer Samer Farag, CEO of Sun and Sam and Conference Chairman, the event also marks a decade of influence on the marketing and business landscape in Egypt and the wider Arab region. Over the years, The Marketers League has grown into a platform that not only discusses trends but also shapes how businesses approach communication, growth and market positioning.

The summit is expected to bring together more than 500 CEOs, board members and senior marketing executives. Through a series of panel discussions, participants will examine how marketing contributes to growth strategies across sectors such as investment, real estate, technology, energy and healthcare. The discussions will focus on practical ways marketing can enhance institutional value and support long-term business objectives.
The choice of the Grand Egyptian Museum as the venue adds a strategic dimension to the event. It combines a symbol of Egypt’s cultural heritage with a modern platform for business dialogue, creating an environment that encourages knowledge exchange and partnership building. Supported by a large-scale advertising campaign and strong media coverage, the conference is expected to extend its impact beyond the event itself.
Overall, the ninth edition of The Marketers League reflects a clear shift in how marketing is positioned within organizations. By connecting marketing leaders with top-level decision-makers, the initiative is set to strengthen collaboration, support business growth and reinforce the role of marketing as a key driver of economic value.
