On September 17th, New Cairo will host one of the most anticipated gatherings for the region’s technology and startup community. The Tech Standup event, taking place at the Triumph Luxury Hotel from 10 AM to 6 PM, is set to bring together 150 carefully selected attendees including founders, CTOs, product managers and rising tech leaders. Unlike traditional startup events that often revolve around business models and fundraising, this platform will focus squarely on the heart of innovation: the technology and product side of building companies.

The positive impact of this initiative lies in its unique approach. Startups today often face hurdles not because of lack of ideas or ambition but because of technical decisions that can either accelerate growth or slow it down. Tech Standup was designed to address exactly that. For founders, it will provide clarity on how to navigate key technology decisions, understand how to better collaborate with developers and even find potential cofounders or CTOs who can bring their visions to life. For CTOs and product leaders, it is an opportunity to step away from day-to-day execution and learn from real case studies, new trends and proven strategies that can sharpen both technical and leadership skills.

The event will revolve around five core themes, each addressing challenges that startups face in the fast-paced digital economy. The first theme, Building, will explore how early-stage startups can create prototypes, select the right tech stacks, experiment with no-code solutions and connect with technical cofounders. The second theme, Scaling, will look into the architecture decisions that define whether startups remain agile or become stuck in inefficiency, covering monolith versus microservices debates, cloud cost management and multi-cloud strategies. Artificial intelligence will take the spotlight in the third theme, AI: From Prototype to Production, with discussions on how to move from experimenting with AI tools to building robust, production-ready solutions while cutting through the noise of hype. The fourth theme, Product, will dig into growth strategies, maintaining focus, preventing feature creep and ensuring alignment within teams. Finally, the Talent theme will emphasize one of the most critical aspects of any startup: building and retaining strong teams. Here, leaders will tackle issues of talent acquisition, recruitment, workplace culture and long-term retention.

The event is being organized by Registfy, an AWS Advanced Partner known for delivering cloud solutions for businesses with expertise in DevOps, ERP hosting, open-source systems and cloud management. In partnership with Athar, one of Egypt’s leading startup accelerators that provides founders with the knowledge and funding access they need to scale impactful businesses, Tech Standup has the support of organizations deeply rooted in entrepreneurship and technology. Adding to the strength of the initiative is its power partner, AWS, the global leader in cloud platforms with more than 200 services powering millions of businesses around the world. This collaboration ensures that attendees not only gain insights but also connect with the tools and resources to put their learnings into practice.

What makes Tech Standup stand out further is the caliber of its speakers. The stage will feature some of the most influential figures in Egypt’s and the region’s tech ecosystem. Among them are Karim Tawfik, Cofounder and CTO of Sympl; Ameer Sherif, Founder and Chairman of BasharSoft; Amr Abodraiaa, Cofounder and CEO of Rology; Mohammad Omara, Founder and CEO/CTO of Hoopoe Digital; Ahmed Maher Pasha, CEO of supercommerce.ai; Mohamed Taher, Cofounder and CEO of Wexcute; Ahmed Abdel Razek, Founder and CEO of Sahaba Club Technologies; Abdulrahman Samir, Chief Business Development Officer of Registfy; and Shoaib Elqady, CEO of Athar Accelerator. Each of these leaders brings valuable experiences and practical lessons that promise to inspire and equip the audience with actionable strategies. More speakers are expected to be announced in the coming days, further enriching the lineup.

The ripple effect of this event goes beyond one day in New Cairo. By equipping founders, CTOs and product managers with the technical knowledge and connections they need, Tech Standup is building stronger foundations for startups that can grow sustainably and compete globally. It is fostering a culture where technology decisions are not treated as an afterthought but as the central drivers of success. This approach has the potential to change how startups are built in Egypt and across the region, making them more resilient, scalable and innovative.

For the wider ecosystem, the event is also an opportunity to bridge gaps between business ambitions and technical realities. It encourages collaboration among entrepreneurs, developers and product leaders who may otherwise operate in silos. This kind of integration is exactly what drives ecosystems forward, enabling startups to not just survive but thrive in competitive markets.

As the countdown to September 17th begins, anticipation is building for what many are calling the front-row seat to the tech side of startup success. By prioritizing substance over hype and focusing on real-world solutions, Tech Standup is setting a new standard for what a startup event can achieve. For those fortunate enough to attend, it will not just be a day of talks and networking but a transformative experience with lasting impact.
