The Social & Inclusive Business Camp has officially launched its first North Africa cohort, bringing together entrepreneurs who are using business to solve social and environmental challenges. The initiative focuses on supporting practical ideas that improve lives, strengthen communities and promote sustainable growth across the region.

This first cohort covers four countries Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt and Algeria. In each country, five entrepreneurs have been selected based on the strength of their projects and their potential to create positive impact. Together, these businesses represent a growing movement of entrepreneurs who believe profit and purpose can grow side by side.

A regional group of entrepreneurs building inclusive solutions

Tunisia was the starting point for the first edition of the Social & Inclusive Business Camp in North Africa. Five Tunisian entrepreneurs were selected to join the program. These are MONSAPO, ILEYCOM, KT Consultings, AgroSolar and Auzy Mental Health. Their projects address different needs, from clean energy and agriculture to consulting services and mental health support. What links them is a clear focus on building businesses that respond to real social and environmental challenges.

Following Tunisia, the program moved to Morocco. The Moroccan entrepreneurs selected for Cohort 1 are Agri4, LINECOS Morocco, Jodoor, FadhiliTaamir and OUBELL PLASTIC. Their initiatives focus on inclusion, sustainability and solidarity. These businesses show how innovation can be used to improve farming systems, support communities, reduce waste and create more responsible production models. Their work reflects a strong commitment to building solutions that serve both people and the environment.

Egypt is the third country represented in the first cohort. The selected Egyptian entrepreneurs are Green Fashion, Techy Global, MAESC, Plstka and DeafGain. Their projects stand out for their innovation and their contribution to sustainable and inclusive development. From ethical fashion and technology services to recycling solutions and inclusion for people with hearing impairments, these businesses are addressing important gaps in the market while creating social value.

The journey then continued in Algeria, where five more entrepreneurs have joined the first cohort. These are Ziara, COOP CHED MED, EcoTashira, AGRIM MAYAR and STARSDELART. Their projects focus on sustainability, inclusion and local development. By joining the program, these entrepreneurs gain access to knowledge and networks that can help them grow their impact and strengthen their operations.

Across all four countries, the selected entrepreneurs share a common vision. They are building businesses that aim to be financially viable while also creating positive change in society. Their participation in the Social & Inclusive Business Camp places them within a regional network of peers who face similar challenges and opportunities.

How the program supports growth and long term impact

The Social & Inclusive Business Camp is designed to help entrepreneurs accelerate their projects across Africa. Each year, the program supports a group of entrepreneurs through a structured hybrid course. This includes online learning, a face to face bootcamp, meetings with investors and regular support from a dedicated mentor.

Through this approach, entrepreneurs are given the tools to better understand their business models, measure their social impact and prepare for fundraising. The program also creates space for open discussion around social business models in Africa, allowing participants to learn from experts and from one another. Being part of a peer group helps reduce isolation and encourages collaboration among entrepreneurs working toward similar goals.

Since its launch in 2017, the Social & Inclusive Business Camp has supported more than 250 entrepreneurs across the continent. These entrepreneurs are working on projects with strong societal impact and many have gone on to scale their businesses, improve their operations and attract funding. The program has played a role in strengthening the broader ecosystem for social and inclusive entrepreneurship in Africa.

The initiative is supported by the French Development Agency Campus and delivered in partnership with several organizations. These include Investors and Partners Conseil, ScaleChanger, the African Management Institute and Emerging Valley. Each partner brings specific expertise, from investment readiness and capacity building to entrepreneurship training and ecosystem development.

With the launch of its first North Africa cohort, the Social & Inclusive Business Camp is expanding its reach and deepening its impact in the region. By backing entrepreneurs who place inclusion and sustainability at the center of their work, the program is contributing to a future where businesses play a stronger role in addressing social challenges and supporting long term development across North Africa.
