Egypt’s logistics sector is entering a new phase. Bosta and SuperJet have announced a strategic partnership to build a nationwide intercity shipping network that will enable same day delivery between cities. The initiative is expected to handle up to six million shipments annually once fully rolled out, creating one of the largest structured same day shipping systems in the country.
The agreement was signed on 18 February 2026 at the headquarters of the Egyptian Ministry of Transport. The ceremony was attended by H.E. Eng. Kamel El-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Transport and Industry, Mohamed Ezzat, Founder and CEO of Bosta, and Major General Eng. Hassan El-Laithy, CEO of SuperJet.
The partnership introduces a new operating model in Egypt’s shipping market. For the first time, shipments will be dropped off and picked up directly through SuperJet stations across governorates. This approach uses existing transport infrastructure to move parcels quickly between cities, reducing delays associated with traditional methods.
Once expansion phases are complete, the network is expected to reach an operational capacity of six million shipments per year. This scale reflects the growing demand for faster intercity logistics and the rising needs of e-commerce businesses across Egypt.
A Modern Model for Faster Intercity Trade
Under the agreement, Bosta will take full responsibility for designing, managing and operating the shipping system. This includes its technology platforms, automated processes, shipment management systems, tracking tools and overall customer experience. SuperJet will provide its intercity transport network and operational support to ensure shipments move efficiently between cities.
The model replaces slower, fragmented shipping methods with a technology driven system focused on speed and operational efficiency. By integrating transport assets with smart logistics software, the partnership aims to shorten delivery times while controlling costs.
H.E. Eng. Kamel El-Wazir described the project as part of the state’s broader direction toward better use of transport sector assets. He said the step reflects “…the state’s direction toward the optimal investment utilization of transport sector assets and the development of modern operating models in partnership with the private sector.” He added that integration between transport modes and logistics services is “…a key factor in supporting economic development and facilitating trade movement within Egypt.”
The structure of the partnership supports this goal. Instead of building new infrastructure from the ground up, the initiative maximizes the use of SuperJet’s existing intercity network. This approach strengthens the value of public and private sector cooperation while improving logistics services nationwide.
Supporting Businesses and Expanding Opportunities
For Bosta, the partnership represents a major step in its long term strategy. Mohamed Ezzat said, “We are proud of this partnership, which represents an important milestone in the company’s strategy to build a faster and more efficient logistics network across Egypt.” He noted that cooperation with SuperJet will help provide “…intercity transport solutions with faster transit times and more efficient operating costs.”
Lower operating costs and faster transit times are expected to benefit businesses, merchants and customers across the country. Ezzat emphasized that the project will support “…businesses, merchants, and customers nationwide,” particularly as e-commerce continues to grow.
From SuperJet’s side, the partnership expands the company’s role beyond passenger transport. Major General Hassan El-Laithy said, “Our cooperation with Bosta reflects the company’s direction toward expanding the utilization of its extensive intercity network and providing innovative services that go beyond passenger transport to support the logistics sector.” He added that this move will enhance the operational value of SuperJet’s transport network.
The service will launch gradually across several high traffic routes before expanding to cover additional cities and stations across Egypt. This phased rollout allows the companies to test operations, refine processes and scale responsibly.
Beyond the numbers, the impact is clear. Faster intercity shipping improves supply chains, supports small and medium sized enterprises and strengthens trade between governorates. For online merchants, same day delivery between cities can improve customer satisfaction and increase competitiveness. For consumers, it means shorter waiting times and more reliable service.
Bosta, one of Egypt’s leading logistics and e-commerce enablement companies, already provides shipment management, cash collection, e-commerce integrations and performance analytics. It also supports businesses with access to financing solutions through multiple partners, helping merchants manage cash flow and expand. By connecting its technology driven ecosystem with SuperJet’s transport capacity, the company is building a stronger foundation for growth.
As Egypt’s digital economy continues to expand, logistics will remain a critical pillar. If the projected six million shipments per year are achieved, the collaboration could reshape how goods move between Egyptian cities and set a new standard for intercity logistics in the country.
