Kredete Acquires Gravv to Expand Global Payments Infrastructure

Kredete is expanding its global payments infrastructure through the acquisition of Gravv, an agentic stablecoin infrastructure platform serving businesses across more than 100 countries. The deal brings key payment infrastructure in-house and is set to give Kredete greater control over liquidity, foreign exchange, routing, settlement and reconciliation.

The acquisition is set to strengthen Kredete’s ability to support real-time global money movement for consumers, businesses and financial institutions, particularly those serving emerging markets.

Gravv has processed more than $3 billion in annualised volume for over 1,000 businesses across more than 100 countries. The platform is supported by seven global banking partners.

The acquisition gives Kredete greater control over the layer between its clients and banking partners. This includes stablecoin settlement, multi-currency accounts, foreign exchange, liquidity, payment routing and reconciliation across global payment rails.

Strengthening the Infrastructure Behind Global Money Movement

Kredete was founded in 2022 by Adeola Adedewe with the goal of giving individuals and businesses across emerging markets and diaspora communities access to modern and affordable financial tools.

Today, the company operates a unified platform that enables consumers, businesses and financial institutions to move, convert, hold and settle money globally in real time.

The acquisition of Gravv adds another layer to that infrastructure. Through a single integration, Gravv connects multi-currency accounts, global payments, card issuance, treasury, bank partners, blockchain networks and local payout rails.

Its agentic layer is designed to monitor liquidity, select routes, manage foreign exchange and settlement and reconcile payments in real time. This is intended to reduce the need for businesses to manage a fragmented set of financial infrastructure providers.

Adeola Adedewe, Founder and CEO of Kredete, said the acquisition gives the company the infrastructure needed to operate these financial rails more effectively.

“Infrastructure is the moat, and intelligence is the operating layer. Gravv gives Kredete the stablecoin infrastructure and global rails beneath our consumer and enterprise products, while its agentic capabilities help operate those rails in real time. Together, we are building the autonomous middleware for the global money movement.”

Hakeem Oriola, Chief Technology Officer at Kredete, said the complexity of global payments comes from having to coordinate different systems.

“Global payments are not one rail; they are a coordination problem across banks, blockchains, liquidity, compliance and local payout systems. Gravv brings those rails into one infrastructure layer, and its agentic capabilities help Kredete route, settle and reconcile payments in real time.”

Opening the Infrastructure to More Businesses

Following the acquisition, Kredete has opened Gravv to new businesses and developers beyond its existing customer base. Banks, fintechs, platforms and developers serving emerging markets can now build directly on the infrastructure.

This expands Gravv’s role beyond supporting Kredete’s own products. The platform can also provide infrastructure for businesses looking to manage payments, foreign exchange, liquidity, stablecoin settlement and other financial processes through a single integration.

Ebuka Arinze, Chief Product Officer at Kredete, said the company believes AI agents will play an increasing role in global commerce.

“We believe the next trillion dollars in commerce will be initiated and processed by AI agents. Having already powered millions of transactions for individuals and businesses, we are now building the financial infrastructure agents will need to participate in the global economy.”

The acquisition advances Kredete’s ambition to build autonomous middleware for real-time global money movement across emerging markets. By combining Gravv’s global banking, blockchain and local payment rails with agentic intelligence, Kredete aims to route, settle and reconcile transactions in real time.

Kredete currently serves more than 6.5 million users and has processed over $18 billion in annualised payments volume. The company has raised $24.75 million in total funding.

Gravv has processed more than $3 billion in annualised volume for over 1,000 businesses across more than 100 countries and is now a Kredete company.
