JentaHub Launches Platform Connecting African Professionals With Global Opportunities

Kenyan startup JentaHub has launched a verified talent marketplace designed to connect African professionals with businesses, clients and organisations around the world. The platform aims to improve access to international work while giving companies greater confidence when hiring remote talent.

Founded in 2026 by Joseph Ongachi, JentaHub focuses on addressing two challenges in the global digital economy: the limited access many qualified African professionals have to international opportunities and the trust concerns businesses face when hiring remotely.

Ongachi said the need for a platform focused on these issues remains clear despite the long-standing presence of major freelance platforms.

“Despite the existence of platforms like Upwork, Toptal, and Fiverr for many years, unemployment among qualified African professionals continues to rise, showing that the unique challenges Africans face in accessing global work opportunities still need better solutions and this is exactly where JentaHub comes in,” he said.

Connecting African Talent With Global Demand

JentaHub verifies the identities and credentials of professionals on its platform, allowing organisations to find talent based on proven qualifications and expertise. The company believes this approach can make remote hiring more reliable while helping skilled professionals compete for opportunities beyond their local markets.

“We identified a clear gap between Africa’s growing pool of qualified professionals and the global demand for skilled talent,” Ongachi said. He added that many existing platforms have not fully addressed the barriers affecting African professionals, while businesses still face concerns about trust when hiring remotely.

The platform is primarily focused on Africa, but its customer base is global. Its long-term objective is to expand into more African countries while attracting more international businesses and organisations.

“Our objective is to bridge the gap between Africa’s highly skilled workforce and international opportunities that have traditionally been difficult for many professionals to access,” Ongachi said.

JentaHub has already onboarded its first users and integrated global earning partners through Jenta-Gigs, its microtask platform. Jenta-Gigs gives members opportunities to earn from short digital tasks, while selected partners provide additional earning opportunities.

The company is entirely self-funded and is now focused on growing its community of verified professionals, developing international partnerships and improving the overall hiring experience.

Building a Sustainable Digital Talent Platform

The startup says its early growth has been encouraging and believes this shows there is demand for a more trusted online hiring platform.

“The growth rate has been encouraging and reinforces our belief that we are solving a genuine problem in the online hiring space, where many professionals remain underserved and businesses continue to struggle with trust when hiring remotely,” Ongachi said.

JentaHub generates revenue through service fees charged as a percentage of professionals’ earnings from completed freelance projects. It also earns commissions through Jenta-Gigs and offers premium tools and hiring features for businesses looking for a more advanced recruitment experience.

“As an early-stage startup, our primary focus is building a sustainable platform, expanding our user base, and delivering long-term value,” Ongachi said.

By combining verified professional profiles, international hiring, flexible digital earning and stronger verification standards, JentaHub is positioning itself as a gateway between Africa’s skilled workforce and the wider global economy. Its mission is to provide professionals with greater access to opportunity while helping organisations hire with confidence, transparency and technology.
