Egypt’s Entrepreneur Awards Opens Sixth Edition with a Focus on Business Networking

Egypt’s Entrepreneur Awards (EEA) has launched its sixth edition with a stronger focus on networking as a way to help entrepreneurs access new opportunities, build valuable relationships and grow their businesses.

The sixth edition was launched at an event held at Mazeej Balad. The gathering brought together entrepreneurs, investors, business leaders and members of Egypt’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. EEA also opened applications, announced 10 award categories and introduced its new Advisory Board.

The edition is built around the theme “Collective Momentum”. EEA aims to use its growing community of entrepreneurs, investors, business leaders, jury members and ecosystem partners to create connections that continue beyond the awards.

Amr Mansi, Founder and CEO of ievents and Founder of EEA, said the sixth edition represents an important stage in the platform’s development. “Launching the sixth edition of EEA is a moment of great pride for us,” he said.

Mansi said the theme reflects the belief that entrepreneurs can make greater progress when they are connected to the right people, experiences and opportunities. He added that what began as an initiative to celebrate Egyptian entrepreneurs has developed over five editions into a wider platform connecting founders, investors, business leaders and ecosystem partners.

Ten categories and clear eligibility requirements

The 10 categories cover several areas of Egypt’s growing business landscape. They are Arab Entrepreneur of the Year, Rising Star, Fintech Forward, Proptech, Agritech, Health & Wellbeing, Product Design, Customer Experiences in E-commerce, Deeptech and Disruptive Duo for Market Innovations, presented by the AmCham Entrepreneurship and Innovation Committee (EIC).

To qualify, at least one founder must be Egyptian. The company must also be legally registered and operating in Egypt. Applicants must have operated for at least two years and less than 10 years.

Previous finalists and applicants can apply again. Previous winners, however, can only apply with a new company. Each applicant can enter only one category and must provide all required documents. The requirements are intended to support a credible and fair awards process.

The winners will be announced at the Award Ceremony at the Grand Egyptian Museum.

EEA’s new Advisory Board for 2025 to 2030 is chaired by Rachid Mohamed Rachid, Chairman of Beymen Group and Founder of Bidayat. It includes Ahmed El Alfi, Chairman of Sawari Ventures; Rania Al Mashat, Former Minister of International Cooperation; Ayman Ismail, Founding Director of AUC Venture Lab; Neveen El Tahri, Chairperson of Delta Shield for Investment; Onsi Sawiris, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at HOF Capital; and Yasmine Khamis, Chairperson of Oriental Weavers Group.

The jury panels will bring together local, regional and international experts from different industries and disciplines. Their role will be to assess businesses and entrepreneurs based on innovation, potential and meaningful impact.

A wider network of business and ecosystem partners

The sixth edition is presented by people of now and organised by ievents. Tatweer Misr is powering the programme through a long-term strategic partnership focused on innovation and businesses shaping Egypt’s future.

Vodafone Business returns for a second year as Official Technology Partner. Its role supports EEA’s focus on digital transformation, technology, connectivity and business growth.

Hassan Allam Holding is the Hosting Partner. The Award Ceremony will take place at the Grand Egyptian Museum, which is operated by Legacy Development and Management (Legacy), a Hassan Allam Holding company.

Cairo Capital is the Official Investment Partner, while EGBANK is the Official Bank Partner. Nestlé continues as Sustainability Partner for the third consecutive year, and Geocycle joins as an Ecosystem Partner.

Startup Scene is the Exclusive Media Partner, helping extend the reach of EEA and its winners across the region. Influence Group continues as Communications Partner after supporting the awards since its first edition.

Endeavor also joins the growing network. Its experience in supporting high-impact entrepreneurs and building connections is expected to strengthen the platform’s support for businesses seeking to scale.

EEA is also continuing its longstanding collaboration with the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt (AmCham), alongside ecosystem partner Sage and AI Partner Helm.

Together, these partnerships expand the resources available to participating entrepreneurs. They also support EEA’s wider goal of making recognition a starting point for stronger connections, business growth and continued development across Egypt’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
