After more than a decade of building its business largely without institutional funding, 3C Coding School is entering a new phase of growth with a $3 million seed investment. The Egyptian edtech company plans to use the funding to expand into Saudi Arabia and strengthen the technology behind its learning platform.

The round was led by MRG Economic Group, headed by Egyptian businessman Mahmoud Ramadan, with participation from investor Amr Saad and a group of strategic angel investors.

Funding to support regional growth

The investment will support 3C Coding School’s entry into Saudi Arabia, a market that has been investing heavily in its digital economy and education technology as part of efforts to diversify beyond oil. The expansion gives the company an opportunity to take its Arabic-language technology education model to a market with growing demand for digital learning.

The $3 million raise is also the highest disclosed funding round for Egypt’s edtech sector in 2026, apart from Enko Education’s $22 million raise. 3C plans to use part of the capital to strengthen its technology infrastructure and develop its AI-powered learning platform.

Founded in 2015 by Hossam Hosny and Ahmed Khallaf, 3C Coding School provides technology education for children and young people. Its programmes cover web and mobile development, data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, game development and cybersecurity.

Building personalised technology education

The company’s platform analyses students’ learning patterns and progress, helping instructors track development while adapting course content to individual students’ pace and abilities. This technology-driven approach is expected to become a key part of the company’s regional expansion.

Khallaf said, “The future of education will be personalised, intelligent, and deeply integrated with technology.”

3C has grown its user base to more than 120,000 students and recorded a 230% increase in revenue over the years. Hosny said the company’s growth represents more than business performance, with its student base reflecting “over 120,000 lives impacted and empowered to navigate the future.”

He added that the new funding marks “a strategic turning point” for the company and reflects investor confidence in its ambition to build a transformative edtech platform for the region.
