Deloitte Innovation Hub is strengthening its corporate responsibility efforts in Egypt through initiatives focused on digital education, healthcare, environmental sustainability, community wellbeing and talent development. During Fiscal Year 2026, more than 500 employee volunteers contributed over 1,600 volunteering hours through programmes that supported 11 of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs).
The initiatives reflect the organisation’s belief that innovation can create value beyond business. Hani Girgis, CEO & Managing Partner of Deloitte Innovation Hub, said: “Technology has the power to transform industries, but its greatest impact is realised when it also transforms lives.”
He added: “At Deloitte Innovation Hub, corporate responsibility is not separate from our business; it is embedded in how we innovate, collaborate, and lead.”
Investing in People and Communities
Digital education remained a key part of the organisation’s FY2026 efforts. Through the Deloitte Middle East Cyber Heroes programme, Deloitte Innovation Hub partnered with Metropolitan School to deliver cybersecurity awareness sessions for students.
Employee volunteers addressed cyberbullying, online scams, artificial intelligence risks, digital wellbeing, password security and responsible online behaviour. The programme aimed to give young people practical skills to navigate an increasingly connected digital world.
Healthcare was another important area of focus. Through its partnership with the Medicine for All Foundation, employees helped redistribute unused medication to families in need while also helping reduce pharmaceutical waste.
During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Deloitte Innovation Hub worked with the Baheya Foundation to provide education on prevention and early detection. Employees also visited Children’s Cancer Hospital 57357, reinforcing the organisation’s focus on community wellbeing.
These efforts, Girgis said, are part of a wider commitment. “Every initiative we support reflects our belief that creating meaningful impact requires investing in people, strengthening communities, and building a more sustainable future.”
Deloitte Innovation Hub is also developing its own people through NextStep, an employee-led mentorship programme. The programme has supported more than 2,000 mentees through over 300 mentorship journeys. Its July 2026 cohort continues that work, while its collaboration with UNICEF Egypt is helping young professionals build technical expertise, practical experience and confidence for globally competitive careers from Egypt.
Advancing Sustainability and Giving Back
Environmental sustainability formed another major pillar of the company’s corporate responsibility agenda. In partnership with Shagrha, Deloitte Innovation Hub planted 150 trees at a public school, helping create greener learning spaces.
The organisation also worked with VeryNile on waste removal from the Nile, plastic upcycling activities and sustainability sessions focused on circular economy practices. Its Cairo Festival City office further reflects this commitment through sustainable and eco-friendly workplace spaces.
Community support remained important during Ramadan. For the second consecutive year, Deloitte Innovation Hub partnered with the “Share a Smile” Foundation, which was officially founded in 2017. Employee volunteers helped prepare and distribute more than 4,000 meals to families in need.
“ We are incredibly proud of our people, whose passion and commitment continue to turn our purpose into action and help us make an impact that matters for the communities we serve,” Girgis said.
As Deloitte Innovation Hub continues serving clients across Europe, the Middle East and Africa from Cairo, its FY2026 initiatives demonstrate how employee engagement and strategic partnerships can support communities while advancing broader sustainability goals.
