DALTEX Corporation has signed a strategic partnership with China-based irrigation specialist Irritech to expand access to large-scale irrigation solutions in Egypt, Algeria and Libya. Under the agreement, DALTEX will become the exclusive seller of Irritech’s irrigation solutions across the three markets.
The partnership is expected to strengthen the irrigation options available to farmers and agricultural businesses. It combines DALTEX’s experience in agricultural project design, installation and after-sales support with Irritech’s expertise in center-pivot and linear irrigation systems.
The two companies will also bring technology-enabled irrigation solutions to agricultural projects across the region. These systems are designed to help optimize water use, improve field performance and support reliable operations.
For farmers and agricultural businesses, the partnership creates access to a broader range of irrigation technologies backed by project expertise and long-term support. It also supports DALTEX’s wider strategy of expanding its agricultural technology offering and providing more integrated solutions to customers.
Combining Experience With Irrigation Technology
DALTEX brings extensive experience in the design and installation of irrigation systems. The company has designed irrigation systems for more than 600,000 feddans and installed more than 5,000 center pivots for over 100 clients.
Its support covers the full project lifecycle. This includes land evaluation, hydraulic design, installation and after-sales service. DALTEX also maintains an inventory of spare parts, provides hands-on training for operators and conducts annual maintenance visits.
These services are intended to help customers maintain system performance and maximize their return on investment.
Tarek Nowara, Projects & Irrigation Director at DALTEX Corporation, said the partnership marks the beginning of a new phase for the company.
“Perhaps one of the most famous Chinese sayings we all know is: A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step,” Nowara said.
He noted that DALTEX began its journey more than 60 years ago and continues to see new partnerships as opportunities to expand its future.
“Today, we are excited to announce the first steps in a new journey with Irritech, a partner full of ambition and openness to new ideas, in whom we believe to have the potential to grow and succeed,” he said.
Irritech adds specialized technology to the partnership. Founded in 2012, the China-based company develops and manufactures center-pivot and linear irrigation systems and has a presence in more than 45 countries.
Its solutions are designed for agricultural projects of different sizes, from medium-sized farms to large operations covering thousands of hectares. Its portfolio also includes AI-enabled technologies that can be adapted to project scale and operating requirements.
Supporting Agricultural Businesses Across Three Markets
The partnership gives DALTEX an opportunity to build on its existing irrigation capabilities while expanding the range of solutions available to customers in Egypt, Algeria and Libya.
By combining irrigation equipment with project design, installation, training, maintenance and after-sales support, the companies aim to provide agricultural businesses with solutions that address both their immediate equipment needs and longer-term operational requirements.
For DALTEX, the agreement is part of its broader effort to expand its agricultural technology offering and support customers across the region through integrated solutions.
DALTEX Corporation has operated since 1964 and is an Egyptian agribusiness and producer and exporter of premium fresh produce. Its operations span integrated agricultural and food value chains, with a focus on quality, traceability, sustainability and innovation.
The company serves retailers, wholesalers and food processors in more than 75 countries.
Irritech, meanwhile, brings its international experience in irrigation technology to the partnership. Its systems are used across agricultural projects ranging from medium-sized farms to large-scale operations.
