Busha Expands Product Portfolio With the Launch of Signal by Busha

Busha has launched Signal by Busha, a regulated prediction market platform that allows users to forecast events across different sectors while giving businesses, researchers and individuals access to real-time market insights. The platform, which is licensed by the Lagos State Lottery and Gaming Authority, marks another step in the company’s expansion beyond digital assets into technology-driven financial services.

Signal by Busha is now available through a web platform and can be accessed by existing Busha users using their current accounts. New users can join by creating a Busha account before connecting it to Signal. Users can fund their Signal wallets directly from their Busha wallets using Naira, stablecoins and other supported cryptocurrencies.

Prediction markets have gained global attention as an additional tool for understanding future trends because they combine the opinions of participants who are willing to back their views with real value. Unlike traditional opinion polls, prediction markets continue to update as new information becomes available, providing a live view of changing expectations.

“Markets have always been powerful information systems,” said Busha co-founder Olaoluwa Samuel-Biyi. “When people put their conviction behind a prediction, they collectively generate valuable signals about where they believe the future is headed.”

Bringing Real-Time Market Intelligence to Africa

At launch, Signal by Busha offers markets covering sports, cryptocurrency, culture, politics, economics and trending topics, with more categories expected to be introduced over time. Instead of making a single prediction and waiting for the outcome, users can buy and sell positions throughout the life of a market, allowing them to respond as new developments emerge.

Samuel-Biyi said the platform is designed to provide “a new lens for understanding markets and emerging trends” and believes prediction markets will increasingly complement traditional research methods. He added that Busha wants African users to take part in this global shift through a trusted and regulated platform.

Market outcomes will be settled using official event sources where available. For events without a single recognised source, an internal resolution team will determine the results based on Busha’s publicly available market resolution policies and consumer protection guidelines. Once a market is resolved, eligible payouts are automatically credited to users’ Signal wallets and can be transferred back to their Busha wallets.

Expanding Beyond Digital Assets

The launch of Signal by Busha reflects the company’s wider strategy of building financial technology products that go beyond cryptocurrency trading. According to co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Michael Adeyeri, the company has always aimed to provide Africans with access to the financial tools shaping the future.

“We started by making digital assets more accessible,” Adeyeri said. “Today, we are building products across savings, payments, global money movement and now prediction markets.”

He added that Signal by Busha demonstrates how technology can help people make better-informed decisions by using collective intelligence in real time while expanding the company’s role beyond saving, investing and digital assets.

The launch follows a period of rapid product development for Busha. Over the past six months, the company introduced Busha 3.0, an all-in-one money app with high-yield savings products, expanded into enterprise financial infrastructure through Busha Business to support stablecoin-powered cross-border payments and announced plans to launch stablecoin-backed virtual Visa cards.

Founded in 2019, Busha has grown into one of Nigeria’s first SEC-licensed digital asset platforms, operating across Nigeria and Kenya. The company now provides consumers and businesses with services ranging from savings and crypto trading to crypto-backed loans and stablecoin-powered payment infrastructure. With the introduction of Signal by Busha, the company is broadening its innovation portfolio by combining financial services with forecasting and market intelligence, while continuing to build regulated technology that helps Africans make informed financial decisions and participate in the evolving digital economy.
