The name “Taojaa” draws from the Yoruba phrase “Ta Ojaa,” meaning “sell market.” It symbolizes prosperity and the entrepreneurial spirit rooted in Nigerian culture.

“It embodies a traditional greeting and blessing for prosperity in commerce,” Akinniyi shares.

The platform was conceived as a strategic enabler, designed not just as an ecommerce builder but as a tool that fosters growth, access and impact within the African digital economy.

Taojaa’s mission is clear: to provide local entrepreneurs and developers with simple, smart and affordable tools to create, manage and expand their online stores.
